U.S.A. Registered. SKOOKUM (strong, stout, impressive in Chinook jargon) – this very name describes the strength, integrity and high quality of the boats designed by Ed Monk and constructed by Skookum Marine at Port Townsend, Washington.

Skookum's full keeled hull was designed and constructed specifically to withstand the challenges of fishing in the treacherous waters of the Bering Sea. RØYKEN is a sailing/ketch for the serious blue water cruiser. She can take you on an adventurous cruise anywhere in the world in comfort and security...and makes heads turn at her beauty.

Gorgeous inside as well as out, RØYKEN is also an exceptionally comfortable live-aboard vessel. Since 2002, RØYKEN has had a major refit with first class workmanship – new electrical and plumbing systems, new sole throughout, bow thrusters, water maker, washer/dryer, inverter, Frigoboat freezer/refrigerator and auxiliary generator rebuild - just a few of the additions and upgrades.

Manufacturer: R.A. Newman & Son, Poole, England
Model: Aux Ketch
Name: Margaretta II

Soon after her launch Yachting Monthly commented on her well proportioned deckhouse and ease of handling. It could be said that a motor sailboat from any era can appear a tad too wholesome and unlikely to seduce; however, MARGARETTA II is a clever blend and succeeds both with good looks and balance of rig. A classic English yacht design built at Newman & Sons in Poole in 1937, MARGARETTA II has always been maintained to the highest standard by both its current owners of nearly 20 years and previous owners (a rarity among yachts of this age). Sweeping lines, built of the finest materials, well-equipped and continuously updated, MARGARETTA II must be inspected to truly appreciate her comfort, beauty, and grace. MARGARETTA II is a robust and uncomplicated boat, ready to head out anywhere and very easy for 2 people to handle both under sail and power.
